Christina Applegate To Tie The Knot With New Fiancé - Martyn Lenoble
What better way to celebrate your dating anniversary, which happened to be Valentine’s Day, than getting engaged? Christina Applegate, very well known for her roles in “Married … With Children” and more recently “Samantha Who?” apparently said yes to Martyn Lenoble after he popped the question on Valentine’s Day as said by Christina’s publicist, Ame Van Iden. A statement from the actress’s spokesperson informed that the two got engaged on the 14th of February 2010 but the wedding date is yet to be finalized. “Christina Applegate and musician Martyn Lenoble are engaged,” her rep confirmed to PEOPLE magazine on Friday. “The couple, who have been dating for two years, got engaged on Valentine’s Day.”
Christina and Martyn always loved to keep their relationship under wraps and though no dates of their marriage has been announced publicly, it is thought that once again they want to keep it to themselves. But they should never underestimate the wickedness and perseverance of paparazzi. After all, they are the ones who revealed to the world for the first time that the 37-year-old actress was suffering from breast cancer.
The actress has been through a rough couple of years. She has been diagnosed with breast cancer in the summer of 2008 and later underwent a double mastectomy. She said she made that choice based on family history and a genetic test result and then she had a reconstructive surgery. Christina Applegate said to the press that Martyn helped her in overcoming her disease: “I have a small but mighty support system and Martyn has really been an incredible part of my life,” she said. “Without him, I don’t know if I could’ve gone through any of it. He came around at a time when there was a lot of loss in my life on many levels, so he’s been a really incredible help.”
Applegate also revealed that she wants to start a family with the 41-year-old Porno for Pyros rocker saying that she would like to have a couple of babies. Now, that she has defeated cancer, her goal is to find “happiness and joy” and it seems she has made her first step in accomplishing it by getting engaged with Martyn Lenoble, a talented bassist and also a great music producer from Vlaardingen, Netherland.
Both Martyn and Christina were married in the past and this will be their second marriage. Christina has earlier been married to actor Johnathon Schaech whom she divorced in 2005 after four years of marriage.
