Hugh Hefner Files for Divorce and Accuse Wife of Infidelity

Nobody could ever say Hugh Hefner was into monogamy. However, he says he was faithful to his wife, former Playmate Kimberly Conrad, during their marriage and that she is the one who cheated on him since the beginning of their relationship.

The pair were married in July 1989 and separated nine years later, but remained legally wed. Conrad, 47, is the mother of two of Hefner’s four children, and since their separation, Conrad and the boys (Marston and Cooper Hefner, who are now both in college) have lived in the house next to the famed Los Angeles Playboy Mansion where Hefner resided with several girlfriends and stars in the TV reality show “The Girls Next Door.”

After their separation, Hugh was said to be dating up to seven women at once.
And now, after an 11-year separation, the Playboy founder, 83, who is currently dating Playmates Crystal Harris, 23, and twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon, 19, has filed for divorce from his second wife citing irreconcilable differences, Los Angeles court records show.
Hefner’s decision to seek a divorce follows court action in August by Conrad, who launched a $5 million legal action against him relating to the sale of a house they owned together. His wife claimed he failed to honor their prenuptial agreement. Her lawsuit states Hefner agreed to pay her $250,000 per year for every year they were married after their fourth anniversary. Hefner in his filings contends he paid his wife $750,000 when they separated, an amount he states he thought satisfied the prenuptial agreement. Hefner told TMZ.com he owed nothing to Conrad, saying he had been “generous to a fault.” The divorce papers show that he has assets worth almost $43/£26 million and that he spends $43,000 /£25,000 monthly on entertainment and food. And he claims he has already given his wife up to $12 £7 million since they live apart. That’s why Hefner has asked for spousal support for Conrad to be set at $20,000 a month. He wants the monthly payments to end in two years, or after a trial on the couple’s divorce is held, whichever comes first.
Hefner told celebrity website TMZ in a telephone interview on Wednesday: “I am happy to be out of the marriage. I only remained married for the sake of the children, at her request.”
Moreover, Hefner tells PEOPLE he isn’t ruling out another walk down the aisle someday. “It’s unlikely since I haven’t been very successful at it. But anything is possible,” says Hefner.
Hillel Chodos, a lawyer for Conrad, would only say, “Mr. Hefner’s divorce filing speak for itself, and we’ll respond in due course.”
