According to USA Weekend, in mid-January the actress accepted a proposal of marriage from Saturday Night Live comic Fred Armisen. The couple didn’t reveal any details about their future wedding.

Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell got engaged to yacht tycoon Fabrizio Politi not last month, but during the Christmas season, when the groom gave her a diamond engagement ring valued at £220,000 ($310,000) as the Mirror reports. It seems that the singer divulged information about her impending “I do” to fellow music icon George Michale during a lunch at Notting Hill’s E&O restaurant on January 24, 2009, two days prior to her representative’s public announcement of the pair’s betrothal.
