Melrose Place’s Star Andrew Shue Tied the Knot

Do you remember hunky Billy from Melrose Place? Well, if you’re one of his fans, then we have a bad news for you. Andrew Shue is off the market, as he tied the knot with the woman he met last April at a “Today’s Moms” book party and got engaged in September 2009 - Weekend Today anchor Amy Robach. When did Elizabeth Shue’s little brother, the co-founder of the nonprofit foundation Do Something, which focuses on individuals getting more involved with volunteering, made the huge step by exchanging vows with the woman he loves? It was over the weekend, on Saturday afternoon in New York City, at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, adjacent to the Hudson River.

“Natalie [Morales] actually set us up, so I have Natalie to thank for the whole thing,” the new bride said before her wedding day, on Friday’s broadcast after her coworkers offered up a pre-wedding champagne toast. “If it doesn’t work out it’s your fault,” Robach joked.
Shue’s mother, Anne Harms, officiated the ceremony, and the two wrote their own vows. The bride, wearing a dress that she bought across the street from work to Saks [Fifth Avenue] and Christian Louboutin shoes, was shining of happiness. It was a very special moment for Robach, 37, because she walked down the aisle on her 37th birthday (instead of a wedding cake they indulged in a birthday cake) but also because her two daughters with her ex-husband, Tim McIntosh took part at the ceremony. The 42-year-old actor Andrew Shue’s three sons with ex-wife Jennifer Hageney attended the ceremony as well. Approx. 120 close friends, colleagues and family including Shue’s actress sister Elisabeth and her husband Davis Guggenheim, director of 2006’s An Inconvenient Truth, as well as Robach’s NBC colleagues Meredith Vieira, Ann Curry, Kathie Lee Gifford, as well as CBS News’ Rick Kaplan and MSNBC’s Contessa Brewer, attended this low-key and touching affair. The couple kept the ceremony intimate, as they wanted an intimate feel with close friends and family. The decor was simple and there were many candles. “The wedding was absolutely beautiful,” a Today show rep, who attended the ceremony, told PEOPLE magazine. “Instead of a gift, they asked guests to give them their two favorite songs – one dance, one love – and they were played throughout the night,” says the rep. “Amy and Andrew were beaming.”
As for the honeymoon, Andrew and Amy left for Mexico right away, on Sunday.
