Tara Reid Got Engaged
American Pie’s star Tara Reid got engaged to her internet entrepreneur boyfriend, Michael Axtmann after almost a year of dating.
It seems that the happy couple was having a romantic dinner at The Little Door restaurant in Los Angeles on Monday night, January 18, when the German multibillionaire Axtmann popped the question by asking for something not on the menu: Reid’s hand in marriage. “Michael surprised Tara with a beautiful round brilliant cut ring,” the actress’s rep told People magazine exclusively. And of course, Tara said “yes” without hesitation. “Tara was so happy, and the other patrons clapped and yelled out, ‘Congratulations.’” It seems that shortly after Tara accepted his proposal, Axtmann sent SMS to all his friends, announcing them the good news.
The 34-year-old actress and her fiancé are planning to tie the knot in a small ceremony for family and friends by this summer, in Mexico. Her fans are hoping this step will be the final for Tara, as she has been engaged before, but never managed to get married. She was engaged to television personality Carson Daly ten years ago but the couple split before taking a trip down the aisle. Then, in September 2008 she got engaged French fashion boss Julien Jarmoune after a whirlwind romance and were supposed to say “I do” in summer last year. Nobody knows for sure why he or she has called the engagement off, but her fans are optimistic this time.
Tara, who posed for Playboy’s January/February issue, will next star in the comedy Last Call and the psychological thriller The Fields so she will be extremely busy with the wedding preparation and all. Unfortunately, no other details about the proposal or the wedding plans have been disclosed, but be sure that Tara’s rep will keep the press inform in the following months.
