Tycoon Trump’s Daughter Ivanka Married Fiancé Jared Kushner
The daughter of business mogul Donald Trump has become a married woman. After a whirlwind engagement of a little over three months, Ivanka Trump tied the knot with her fiancé Jared Kushner on Sunday afternoon, October 25 in a ceremony that took place on the grounds of the bride’s father’s Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey.
Ivanka Trump, who turns 28 next Friday, is the executive vice president of development and acquisitions at the Trump Organization, her father’s real estate company and she will continue to use her name professionally. She is also a principal in a jewelry company, the Ivanka Trump Collection, and is a host of “The Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and she has been dating Jared Kushner, who works as the publisher of the New York Observer, since 2007. Jared graduated from Harvard and received a law degree and an M.B.A. from New York University. The bridegroom is also a principal in the Kushner Companies in New York, which owns and manages commercial buildings and apartments in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The pair reportedly briefly split, but reconciled in July 2008. Back in July, Ivanka tweeted about her engagement to Jared. “I got engaged last night… truly the happiest day of my life!!!” so she announced on her account.
So she has kept her 400,000 Twitter followers up to speed every step of the way. Last weekend, she tweeted a last-minute request: “Need some help picking a wedding song … send me your thoughts!” On Oct. 22, she added, “Last dress fitting down… getting close.” Then, before her weekend wedding, Ivanka also took it to her Twitter: “At a very casual ‘rehearsal’ dinner with friends… just 5 of my lady friends and me having a casual dinner and getting excited. Perfect!” she tweeted on Saturday, October 24. Then early the next day, she wrote, “Just finished a gorgeous hike. The leaves are spectacular and the sun is shining. Everything is simply perfect! I’m getting married today!”
People magazine reported that the bride walked down the aisle in a Vera Wang wedding gown, inspired by Grace Kelly. The 500 guests included Regis Philbin, who also sang a song at the reception, planned by Preston Bailey – who also handled Donald and Melania Trump’s lavish wedding at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Fla.
“They make a magnificent couple,” the bride’s father commented of the newlyweds. Meanwhile, a representative for Ivanka stated, “She was the most stunning bride.” There has been no word just yet from Ivanka herself or Jared.
