Halle Berry, the 45-year-old actress who made every man steam with her amazing sexy body so gracefully honored by the tight dark suit in “Catwoman”, is now off the market. That’s right gentlemen, Berry is now other man’s woman and she is so deeply in love that she doesn’t have eyes for somebody else no more. And since such a beautiful woman couldn’t consort with a ragamuffin, Berry chose Olivier Martinez as partner and future father of her daughter.
Of course, this is not the first time the actress gets engaged and then married, as she was married twice before: she married for the first time in 1993 to David Justice, a baseball player, then the two divorced in 1997 and in 2001, she married singer Eric Benét but they separated by 2003 due to his major infidelities and his sex addiction. Then, the Oscar-winning actress refused to get married again and shared her life with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry with whom she has a daughter, the 3-year-old Nahla. Berry left him as Aubry was beating her so hard that she was left partially deaf, and she managed to move on the difficult period of the split which ended in a battle for getting custody of the little girl. In 2010, she met Martinez, Kylie Minogue’s ex, while they were co-starring in the film “Dark Tide”. Since then they have been an item but they didn’t felt the need to make it official.
Now, on January 11, their reps officially announced that the French actor who was born in the European capital of love – Paris – asked Berry to be his lifetime partner and live together as husband and wife. He offered her a a diamond and emerald engagement ring from Gurhan, as a source told People magazine and she couldn’t answer otherwise then ‘Yes!’. According to the new issue of Us Weekly magazine, “Halle had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier,” a source said. “He makes her feel safe. He’s a keeper!”
46-year-old Martinez caught the media’s attention when he supported Kylie Minogue throughout her fight with cancer and since, he is considered by some to be “the French Brad Pitt,” according to the Internet Movie Database. He also played in several films such as “S.W.A.T.” and “Taking Lives.” As for his recent engagement to the American actress, the media first reported that the couple got hitched on January 3, soon after few photographers caught snapshots of Berry with a ring on her left hand while she was having relaxing date night at Iris, Cirque du Soleil’s film-history-themed show at the Kodak Theatre in L.A.
As more reports emerge, Berry is said to walk down the aisle in California early this summer as she is eager to have more children. The same Us Weekly quotes an insider saying that “Halle would love to have more kids, but she knows it might be difficult because of her age and the fact that she’s diabetic” and because of that the couple is considering adoption as the ultimate resort.
However, until they get married and until they decide upon the way in which they want to have kids, we wish them all the best and may they have a long and happy life together.
Cograts for their engagement!
