Some celebrities prefer to wed in a fash-tacular way, other prefer to keep it low and hide the event from the press. But regardless of the way they say ‘I do’, their weddings are always a matter of concern for the general public and always sublime. Here’s July’s top 3 most beautiful weddings amongst VIPs.
1. Jade Jagger’s rock’n’roll wedding
On the first day of July, Jade Jagger, Mick’s only daughter with ex-wife Bianca, said ‘I do’ to DJ Adrian Fillary at the Aynhoe Park Hotel near Banbury, Oxfordshire, England. The event was not very intimate, but rather a star-studded one, including celebrity guests such as the Rolling Stones singer with his second wife Jerry Hall and his offspring Lizzie Jagger, Georgia May Jagger and fashion legends Bianca Jagger, Kate Moss and Christian Louboutin. The bride, who is a 40-year-old fashion designer, designed her own gown, which she accessorized with matching flowers in her hair and delicate jewels including a slim watch. The nuptials were truly fizzy with Mick performing.
2. Lee DeWyze’s vintage wedding
The winner of the 2012 American Idol, Lee DeWyze, tied the knot with model and actress Jonna Walsh in a vintage-inspired ceremony in Camarillo, Calif., on July 21. The entire Saturday affair was planned to fit the couple’s style: “Outdoors with chandeliers”, plenty of good music, blush colored flowers, from peonies to garden roses, tables decorated with vintage Coca Cola crates, vintage movie reels, “sheets of music that were rolled up and put in jars” and a buttercream five-tier cake. The bride, wearing a gorgeous Lili Bridal strapless vintage-style lace embroidered gown, walked down the aisle to a song the 26-year-old singer penned just for her. 100 guests witnessed their union in the holy matrimony and most of them flew in from DeWyze’s hometown of Chicago.
3. Ellie Kemper’s intimate wedding
The actress famous for playing roles of bridesmaid, has finally tied the knot with longtime boyfriend Michael Koman at the Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in New York, on July 7. She looked gorgeous in a lace gown with up-swept hair and clean, natural makeup, whilst the groom, TV writer Koman wore a dark grey suit, and a bright blue tie. Her bridesmaids wore sophisticated navy cocktail dresses. Amongst the family and friends who attended the happy event, Kristen Wiig, with boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti and Mindy Kaling, who costars with Kemper on NBC’s The Office, made the bridal party a success.
